Editorial Process
- Scientific communications intended for publication in JNFSA must undergo internal pre-publication peer review and obtain approval to be published in the journal, by NFSA Management.
- The approved paper will be published as a pre-published paper or report, in the relevant section of JNFSA (Pre-Publications).
- The pre-published paper will be submitted for stakeholder consultation, as determined by NFSA management, i.e., for the period and following the distribution and process set by NFSA in association with the projected publication.
- In parallel, the JNFSA Editorial Board will submit the pre-published paper for additional internal and external peer review, including requests for input from the international food regulatory science community.
- Summary of input will be compiled by the Editorial Board for consideration to possibly amend the pre-published paper or report, subsequent to which it will then be deemed ready for publication as a Final Publication.
- Approval from the Editorial Board and NFSA management will be required for the version intended for Final Publication.
- The Final Publication is made available in the Current Issue of JNFSA.
